I am mother with terminal cancer and a two-year-old baby. I am dying within a short time. I live at poverty level due to the economy. I have no health insurance. I have a bucket list with dying wishes. The greatest wishes are a full time job for my husband, good daycare for the baby, and adequate diaper supply until he is potty-trained. I'm looking for someone to care, give emotional support, and understand that dying is not easy. Can you give me a little emotional support?

Cancer Wigs and Boost?
Does anyone know about using prescriptions for Boost or cancer wigs? If the doctor writes a prescription, how is it presented for payment? Can I use a Boost prescription at the pharmacy window to purchase Boost or must it be bought and refunded through insurance? Same question about wigs - can they be purchased with the prescription or must I wait for reimbursement?

http://www.breastcancer.org/tips/hair_skin_nails/wigs.jsp - looks like its generally reimbursement for the wig. I'm not sure on the Boost - I used to work at Walgreens and I seem to remember seeing people carrying Boost in prescription bags.
ReplyDeleteMy mother got a prescription for a wig when she was being treated at Cancer Treatment Centers of America. She got two wigs, they reimburse up to a certain amount, I think. My prayers are with you and your family.
